Subj: The Incredible Hercules - a great book but I can't stand the latte/laptop Olympians

Zeus is dead. I got it. There are going to be changes, no problem. I like how the gods are on Earth now. They must adjust.

BUT the laptops and lattes are getting old. First off the gods descending to Earth has been down to death already and it never sticks. I hope it sticks.

I actually like the direction its going. Hera and Pluto kicking out Zeus' bastard children which are Apollo, Artemis, Athena and Hercules. Great idea. But I can really do without Athena driving a Hummer. Horrible.

Love Herc and Amadeus' story though. Love the writer ties the Atlanteans in. Really good stuff. Artume rocks!

Is Atlas still holding the world up? We've seen Atlas before and he alternates between a giant and a normal sized god. Ohwell. I really hope the modern gods take a more whimsical approach rather than what we got. I mean is Ares going to show up dressed like a general in a suit next? There are ways to modernize withouth humanizing. \:\)
