![]() http://www.marvel.com/catalog/?id=7274 Well, since Stark is still listed on the Previously Page, here's the review of The Order #3. Wonderful self contained story and reliable art. Wonderful series launch to highlight 1member per issue. Wonderful, Calamity is just like Slapstick? Liked Calamity's origin and motivation. Is Tobita a real person? Hanshin Tigers? Why doesn't he in fact use a bat instead of a copycat hammer? His bickering with Mulholland was a fun subplot. Really liked his last page answer about Carl despite it's disturbing implications. Pepper is getting significant panel time in this title. She is very competant and her Avona investingation is intriguing. So, the sword is A.I. which in Marvel earth is practically sentience. (Might even be Jocasta - next issue looks good.) Anthem is still as good team leader. The building association thingee is a good character moment. His smashing the street windows is a good visual. His tie is good promotion. Veda... was there. Heavy yelled in his small disciplinarian cameo. Mulholland powers are interesting, if deus ex machinish. Can't wait for her highlight issue. The Order shoulder tatoo says a lot. When she hit Calamity it was a what the heck happened moment to me - then it was good to see the story reveal that's was intentional. Aralune he stopping Calamity sets a precendent. Supernaut talks about Stark's dataspine which was interesting. His power seems boring ATM. Willing to wait and see with him but hope he is more expendable than Pepper. Stark must really love his country. He apparently created the 50-State Initiative while the Director or SHIELD and apparently not AS it's Director. Since SHIELD probably has less Federal authority that the CSA in superhero matters. His recent interrogation of Graviton shows he must get special consideration to delay immediate prisoner transfer to Prison 42. Also previous post show apparent ways he is allowed to, personally, bend the SHRA for the sake of loyalty. The Order seems to be toted as 'his' team in a different yet fundamentally same way as 'his' Mighty Avengers(which I thought was also an Initiative 'crown jewel'). It would be nice for (every) comic to give more explanatory overview of the Initiative teams - we get a snippet this issue from Pepper: ![]() ![]() Hire Paladin: ![]() and check out the caption contest... | |||||||
