THE ORDER #6 http://www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.2084.Weekend_Preview:_The_Order_%236?utm_source=rss+news+story+feed&utm_medium=rss+link&utm_content=story+feed&utm_campaign=rss+feeds http://www.marvel.com/catalog/?id=7776 Really like The Order for 6 issues, now. Very good story and art all along. Very curious to see if any Marvel staff lurkers or in-the-know posters can share any answers so to like the title even more: First big question: Who runs The Initiative? Is it Tony Stark as an independant (Illuminati planning)? The POTUS? CSA? Director of SHIELD? ![]() ![]() Are the 50 Teams independant of The Initiative once unveiled? The Order and The Thunderbolts and The Mighty Avenngers seem to operate with different protocols. Or do all recruits on the 50 Teams have to go thru Camp Hammond, even if it is only to sign paperwork behind the scenes? Even The Liberteens seemed to be able to party hardy without being strictly observed as The Order members who got fired. Will more detailed SHRA/Initiative documentation and procedures for readers be forthcoming anytime soon? Is there a lot of positive feedback by just giving readers tidbits, piece by piece, story by story for better mythos building? Milo is personable and a patriot. Not as intriguing as the others interviewed so far. Still he seems like the most stable of the bunch. The dog tag over purple hearts distinction was significant. A true boy scout, hence the Powell quote. He certainly 'is prepared' to fight sans suit. Should readers assume he (and all The Order for that matter) as pro Iron Man during the Civil War? Is the genomech program is only located in Arizona but is a unique program exclusive to The Order in California? Probably one of The 100 Ideas is the elimination of physical handicap (currently at the cost of a shortened lifespan). A worthy goal. Clor as the ultimate attempt at mixing cloning and contraptions for the benefit of mankind. Does Marvel regret an impromptu decision to go with the name The Order when Champions was not available? It still seems too generic/confusing. And had to read the S.H.A.D.O.W sign twice. Glad to finally get the neat name, Softly, to associate with the bad guys behind the testing connected to the desert monsters. And since they have a public sign and apparently little fear of reprecussion from the orders: 'shoot to kill' - or better worded: the 'shoot to kill' order, is it safe to assume they are an accreditted US agency (probably US Black Ops agency)? "Hank, baby, I was just thinking the same thing." Is this the same Tony Stark Director of SHIELD that is being pimped around the MU titles? He goes on, and on, with this cavalier banter too. Wheeling and dealing a movie deal in order to secure National Security? C'mon. Really? Pepper's description sounds accurate but that's not how he's coming across last issue and this one. Wasn't it established, in The Initiative, that S.P.I.N. tech involved blood sample of the subject to work and Hardball stole or destroyed 'em all hence his shame from the WWH fiasco? Did Softly get his hands on this same prototype tech? Were readers supposed to KNOW that insufficient time passed between meeting the Black Dalhias and the desert base? In which case it would be fair speculation that Softly may be an MVP type clone if he has the nanite access too. Not familiar with San Francisco layout. What exactly is the wall of water layout depicting? It's unclear to me. And from the mini, isn't Namor keeping his populace in hiding, in Latveria? Or is he making a stand here with a new 'city'? Or did I misread it. Obviously, and oddly, he uses that trident to make an air tunnel thru the water, right? And since when would this emergency require Pepper with the power of information to be called on site? What is this song? ![]() Finally and least importantly, is this cover mistakenly being solicited as #6, at marvel.com , when it is apparently #8? Thanks in advance for any clarification. ![]() And more Holiday banner festive fun... ![]() | |||||||
