![]() Weekend Preview: The Order #7 Posted: 2008-01-20 Updated: 2008-01-18 14:49:46 http://www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.2156.Weekend_Preview:_The_Order_%237 ![]() s p o i l e r s Can forgive the lack of footnotes that would make the chronology-fans more happy because the context still flowed. Can forgive some pathetic superhero and SHIELD response time logic seemed far fetched given the 'effort' made to specifically address this point. Can forgive that the prerequisite action present was appropriately banal. Can forgive the fact that a repeated reflection cover theme included members not appearing because have enjoyed this occasional artistic vehicle since Wolverine's claws reflected the Hulk's charge. Can forgive the wasteful element of 4 double splash pages because, well, the art was once again kick-@$$! (As much as Namor's political theater was cheap-@$$ Can forgive any perceived arguments with Namor's arguable actions taken given that it adds opinion, intrigue, subplot, followup,... oh, and of course he's obviously a (brilliant) SKRULL! This issue was GREAT! Can even forgive the Prev.Page! Henry Hellrung is my new hero. (Well, until the next one.) The way he saves the day is priceless! Who can not like this guy??! ![]() It was a treat to finally reveal an interviewER and this issue was the perfect one to do it. Can we at least reveal who did it previous issues, asap? Nicely presented 'history' of Namor. Particularly the Fen/McKenzie part rarely shown - and Namor bearing tatoos as is the retconned custom. About the flashbacks: Is the pre-FF4 stuff literal panel recreations? Is that the destruction that happened in FF4? Is the WWII scene D-Day or just symbolic? Is the broken arm actually form a DrDoom/Namor team up? Literally enjoyed EVERYTHING Anthem and Sub-Mariner(Namor McSkrenzie) talked about. Also, thoroughly enjoyed reading the expertly detailed BODY language. Some of it intentionally debatable and all thought provoking. For example, "four genocides"? WWI? WWII/Hiroshima? Genosha? Other? And the smiling and yawning and others too! ![]() It would've been nice to see at least a cameo image of the rest of the team but the 4 we did see doing crowd control displayed some moments of fun. "Oogitta-Boogitta!" "Three bandaids" The FF cameo was fantastic, if also too brief, for the story. Who doesn't like Sue and her boys or a chance to take a pot shot at Tony Stark at this time? ![]() Debated whether to post feedback to the issue this time. But last panel so motivating, decided to echo Anthem's final inspiring words... This issue is worth praising. Anyone else 'on it'? ![]() Hire Luke & Danny: ![]() And enter that current caption contest... Or take this survey... ![]() | |||||||
