Frank Castle tries to snipe Norman Osborn (who certainly deserves a dirtnap), but Bob Reynolds, the Sentry, interferes and a not-so-merry chase ensues. Well, as a fantasy confrontation between "Superman" and Punisher, it's defintely intriguing, but I'm personally tired of Frank being basically manhandled and put through the wringer constantly by the superhero community who is against him..

I also don't like writers who simply portray him as a maniac prone to shoot jaywalkers if he could spare the time.. Even Bendis tends to portray him as a generic psycho..

The problem I have with making this current series "squarely in the Marvel U." means that, well, whenever Frank gets into it with some supervillains, is an editor going to allow Frank to give them their ultimate reward, or will it constantly end in some kind of stalemate? You know that Frank is not going to be allowed to kill Norman Osborn, because it's Norman friggin' Osborn! Same goes with Dr. Octopus, Dr. Doom, Red Skull, Electro, Mr. Sinister, Rhino, etc., no A-list, and even B-list villains would be allowed to be killed... The only super-crooks Frank can kill are ultra-obscure, ultra-z-list, one-appearance since-1978 villains (Cutthroat? Okay, fine, whatever).. and while I wouldn't mind seeing a Scourge-style purge, as far as I'm concerned, that gets redundant after a while.. Throw us some curveballs, Marvel! Put some A-list villains on the chopping block for once..
