Subj: Ghost Rider 23... [SPOILERS (more please)] Posted: Wed May 28, 2008 at 08:08:47 pm EDT (Viewed 1 times) | Reply Subj: I'm a casual DC fan at best Posted: Fri May 30, 2008 at 09:02:51 am EDT | ||||||
Didn't buy it. Peaked at the final page. Would like more SPOILERS. Checked out the Solicit Pages too... Preview: Ghost Rider #23 http://www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.3625.Preview~colon~_Ghost_Rider_%2323?utm_source=rss_new_news_feed&utm_medium=feed_link&utm_campaign=rss_feeds ![]() The cover is boring. Been there done that. Not worth paying for a whole page for 1 sentence that was informative. The art seems much better here than from the last issue dropping the series. Sort of a JRJR influence here. Interesting transformation interpretation. This was a GOOD page of narration. Sums up what the hell's going on from Johnny's POV. (For good or bad.) Better than all the PrevPages in the series. Did NOT like that they seemed to completely ignore the Zarathos element in his original deal. Nice impending shot. Looks like they're going for a particular demographic by right off adding some cannibal... gags (ugh, had to pun it). Almost as gross as zombie comic themes. Did GR slow down? Okay title page for some reason car explosions is less offensive than zombies/cannibals. Now that's the hellbent GR to see! Not over but thru! That scene is hot. Lucas MUST have angels on his side to survive unscathed. That's a lot of pent up hostility in GR. Some okay stuff but not keen to start up again ATM. Leafing thru saw the nurse(s?) miraculously(ridiculously?) survive and more of the zombie/ghost hand on the cursed highway rending away. Bleh. Though, glowing-eyed Danny Ketch on the last page was certainly a temptation. Just might catch up with him next issue or pray for SPOILERS again...
