Need help deciding whether it was a good issue or not...
Captain Britain and MI:13 #5
Matter of factly,
continuity and a shared-MU status is understandably a selective comic book standard; its regularly subject to personal tastes. The cover and art were enjoyable but as to liking the content that depends if these points will/should quickly be addressed/corrected or if theyre supposed to be plainly/currently accepted as statements of fact:
The skrulls are out of England, so thats good enough for the British heroes.
Umar and MAJOR supernatural threats have been unleashed on Earth again but the appointed Sorcerer Supreme, one (missing?) Dr.Strange, is too busy to show concern.
There's a new mission statement -reportedly unique but NOT REALLY unique- for MI13. This team's funtion had to be established/clarified/restated/ because no one at this time knows/cares/footnotes W.H.O. and previous work done by the likes of Alistaire_Stuart(who may or may not have had an unnamed appearance alongside the agents trying to kill Brian for effective testing/training/action).
S.A.S. Lads seems an acronym for some sort of MI13 Lab Guys. Also MI13 transport has access to at least one ship faster than at least one skrull ship.
Excalibur is more like Mjolnir apparently, as in anyone worthy can pull it to rule - and not necessarily one borne on English soil. Even stewards to British knights do not have to be British.
Pete Wisdom was possibly the only MI13er to apparently be offered a medal presumably for his (now public knowledge?) "NO MORE SKRULLS" island-contained effort in the first story arc.
No more (CBMB) arguments of precident are valid when debating Captain Britain's selectively bullet proof power.
Union Jack works exclusively for MI5 and may or MAY NOT care that Spitfire is now a (AFAIK unexplained) vampire - by night(only).
Blade has apparently a cool new haircut, a LukeSkywalkerish cyberhand, left SHIELD, vampire(hunter) status, no worry about Colonel America return to torture him to death again for information of the recently disbanded unknown Vanguard team.
Black Knight has had a change of heart about his association with the Avengers after bad mouthing them in the first issue.
(The shadowy -possibly forshadowing- hand of) Death looms over Spitfire at a (real world?) public Liverpool Cemetary where John the Skrull, a skrull!, warranted burial (with oddly just the name JOHN, permissable/identifyable on the tombstone).
Faiza is Muslim and more guest appearances of her parents to eventually demonstrate the varied cultural traits there of, even though they arent particularly religious.
Sid Midlands is Captain Midlands and gets mostly grunt work details.
ARAGORN is apparently ALIVE AND WELL and NOT horsey chow!!!!!!
