My first MTU was probably either 34 or 44 and actually had to pick up 15 as a back issue years later IIRC. Got 15 out to double check if Mephisto made a cameo appearance. No such luck. Ended up just rereading it anyways because of the classic/great definitive Ross Andru art with Spider-man. The series was gold back then and in hindsight this self contained issue was still good enough.

Nice layout switch up. Today, most writers wouldve had Spidey start a swing chase after exitting the tunnel. Dont worry though Spidey 'has a plan'.

Classic death ending for the villain. Classic MTU parting as freinds with Spidey. And overall, just fun team up as GR was all a young-reader-freindly Johhny Blaze with a hollow voice but hardly shades of demonic Zarathos: in fact you might say Ghosty acted like, crazy as it sounds,... an angel.
