Just read Nova 15. Its quite good, but not the ending I was expecting, infact the ending was a bit of a dissappoinment. Not much of a showing from SS, but then again this is Nova's comic.

Wondering where the silver surfer will turn up next?

Wow. It WAS quite good, bordering on great!

NOVA #15 recap pageNOVA #15, page 1NOVA #15, pages 2-3NOVA #15, page 4NOVA #15, page 5NOVA #15, page 6

Cover: Quite great, bordering on brilliant - if Big G had teleported Nova & SS on top an floating asteroid at the end it would have been.

p1 The awesomeness that is Galactus! His outerspace shell never looked so glorious an an effect with its globes and stars! (Well, maybe on Donna Troy *love*)

p2-3 One of the few times wouldve requested a double page splash with that pic instead of squeezing in those two headshot panels.

PrevPage: *sigh* Good page placement - will give it that.

p4 Really nice human idea. A computer would never figure in a suicide attempt like that.

p5-8 Read the story without these pages. It's still as enjoyable. Still, sort of added texture to Richard's experience but imagine the bonus if they squeezed in, say a 1-2 page interlude...

p9 Have been waiting for the depowering/removal of the Worldmind's deusexmachina control presence. Now that it's gone, missing their chemistry a little already. This User Option Backup read GREAT all the way thru though.

p10 Detecting Harrow as a enjoyable shock effectively reflected in Nova's eyes.

p11 Read the story without this pages. It's still as enjoyable. Still, sort of added to the grandeur of Galactus' ship for newer readers, but imagine the bonus if they replaced it with a flashback and replaced the PrevPage with a prologue...

p12 Niiiice splash return!

p13-17 Five pages fighting Harrow seemed a little too extended. Mostly shoving and grabbing. Still, the tear was good, the Psi-Shield as option an interesting limitation now, the 'Cone of Psilence' a neat phrase -missed it by THAT much ;-\) , and Nova's plan was smart.

p18 Perfect that only Surfer was alerted. Surfer seemed spot on.

p19-20 Big G is P.O.ed! Hated Harrow as a generic villain since day 1. Now that he's gone, find he was somewhat an interesting character, in hindsight, with his origin told here. A story plus.

p21 Surfer parting brings wonderful closure to this chapter in Nova's life. The art (and coloring) was GREAT all issue and Norrin in particularl shines. Not sure about the pointed surfboard interpretation or the fact that a Galactus not sparing anything twice (eg, Earth or Norrin himself?).

p22 Okay, see by the page count, probably missed 1 or 2 in this PBP, not going to bother going back. Realize from typing this there were some superfluous sequences anyways that didnt take away from an enjoyable issue. A few added scenes with Surfer would've been nicer. This cold and lonely ending was great for a mini or TPB but since it's a ongoing series it might've been nice to get at least the destination's name for anticipation purposes. Still, the SI solicit blurb is an exciting tease.
