Introduction:

A few years back I started working on my very own version of the official handbook of the Marvel Universe. At some point I began dividing the handbook in different sections, appendixes covering different subjects, like Marvel Countries, companies in the Marvel Universe and different Marvel Futures. At some point one of the appendixes began having a life on it's own, the appendix for the Marvel Universe-2, created by Tom DeFalco first in What If? Vol.2 #105, and later on there was formed a line of MC-2 comics. To explain the MC-2 universe, one needs to remember at one point there was something called the clone-saga, which claiming that the superhero we had known and loved as Spider-Man was actually a clone and had been since Amazing Spider-Man Vol.1 #149. The real Spider-Man returned taking the alias of Ben Reilly (Ben as in his uncle Ben Parker, and Reilly as in his aunt May Parker's maiden name). The clone Peter Parker who was married to his long-time girlfriend Mary Jane Watson, was to become a father, and it's here the story about the MC-2 Universe can begin, because in the "real world", Peter Parker (who was again revealed as the real Spider-Man in Spider-Man vol.1 #75) and Mary Jane Watson seemingly lost their daughter at birth (in Amazing Spider-Man vol.1 #418), but in What If? Vol.2 #105 we learn What If?: Spider-Man's daughter had survived and grown up to be Spider-Girl....

So why a seperate MC-2 Handbook you say: well the MC-2 universe could use the attention, the universe is actually very very interesting, and needs all the attention it could get. Spider-Girl has been in danger of getting cancelled a few times, and was recently set for another cancellation (with #61), but again was saved for the 8th time (according to writer Tom DeFalco) and Spider-Girl is still there, and have a small but devoted fan-base, which I'm proud to be a part of and I hope that more people will join the "cast" as regular readers of this excellent comic book....

So if you're interested in learning stuff about the possible future of the Marvel Universe, and the children of today's superheroes. you're at the right place. So without any further....

Enjoy!....
