By striking the ball against his bell-shaped helmet, he creates sonic vibrations, which can produce a wide variety of effects like concussive force (enough to rend steel) or temporarily paralyze a living being, or create force fields, or teleport Doctor Bong and/or other people and things. History: When other children mocked young Lester Verde his mother encouraged him to become a writer telling him the pen was mightier than the sword. Lester wrote things about those who made fun of him to make himself feel better. In the third grade his class visited a local newspaper and Lester saw the printing presses and decided then he wanted to become a journalist. In college Lester majored in journalism. When Lester's Professor Furgen was unhappy with his work, Lester wrote a story for the college newspaper about Furgen using illegal drugs that, while true made things seem worse than they were. Furgen lost his job and his wife. In his senior year, Verde took a life-drawing class where Beverly Switzler occasionally modeled. Verde fell in love with her and when she refused him, used his connections to have her boyfriend kicked out of school. Lester worked as a tabloid reporter and eventually became a rock music critic. Unhappy with the way the paper wanted him to report things Verde decided he would try to become famous by working with the rock band "Mildred Horowitz and his Band". During a performance Lester accidentally lost his left hand in a guillotine.

History: Dorma was born in the capital city of the Antartic Atlantean settlement, her distant relative Emperor Thakorr established (see: Emperor Thakorr). Before reaching adulthood she was the playmate of her distant cousin Namor the prince (see: Namor). Years later Dorma was about to marry the love of her life and at the same time her distant cousin Namor, but the wedding plans were threaten by Llyra, who kidnapped Dorma and impersonated Dorma at the wedding (see: Llyra). After having wed Namor, Llyra revealed her true identity, hoping to become princess of Atlantis. Llyra claimed according to the laws of Atlantis that she was now the legal wife of Namor, but because Dorma had previously taken a vow of fealty and her name had been inscribed in the Scrolls of Sovereigns, it was Dorma who was Namor's wife, despite her absence at the wedding ceremony. Llyra fled Atlantis, but Namor tracked her to her mother's oceanarium (see: Morris, Rhonda). Llyra saw Namor approching and then decided if she couldn't have Namor, Dorma shouldn't either, smashing the water-filled prison Dorma was held in slowly killing the princess. The Si-Fan assassin who has been left by Fu Manchu and his other Si-Fan assassins for years, now finally, with the help of the gorilla, tries to kill Shang-Chi and Leiko Wu. He sets off a bomb to destroy a wooden stairway, which begins to burn. Shang-Chi manage to throw the gorilla down from the stairs to “Dweller”, Dweller shouts at and kicks the gorilla who turns against his master, both perishes in the flames while Shang-Chi and Leiko Wu manage to escape)
