Jack Smith employee at Shank’s Armored Couriers comes to Luke
Cage’s office to offer him a job. Luke Cage needs to protect
two-million dollars in gold from New York City to Wastington D.C.
Jack Smith is worried because a master criminal called the Goldbug
has threaten to steal the gold from Shank’s and that’s
why he needs to hire Luke Cage. The gold is sent by a van, and Luke
Cage is sitting in the back with the gold, while Jack Smith returns
to Shank’s and his boss Mr. Coyne. Mr. Coyne tells Jack that he
still worries about the warning from Goldbug. After the little talk
with Mr. Coyne, Jack goes into his own office, taking off his cloth,
and puts on a costume, revealing him to be the Goldbug. And reveals
that the Jack Smith identity is a cover-up identity he has spend
years in building. He uses his wrist-band to call his golden
hovercraft and goes after the van. After having hit the van with a
beam from the hovercraft, Luke jumps out seeing Thunderbolt, thinking
he is behind the attack, he begins fighting him. Meanwhile Goldbug
begins stealing the gold from his hovercraft. Cage learning his
mistake jumps up in the hovercraft, tires to defeat Goldbug but is
his by the Goldbug’s golden-gun turning him into solid gold.
Cage is thrown out of the hovercraft, and Goldbug escapes. Later Cage
returns to the office only to learn that Jack Smith is there with the
police accusing them of stealing the gold.)

Hulk Vol.2 #243 (While having destroyed
Tyrannus machine, Hulk and Goldbug falls down from great height, Hulk
saves Goldbug before crashing to the ground. When at the ground Hulk
tears the machine open, releasing Tyrannus (who had become one with
the machine) into space. After the defeat of Tyrannus, Hulk remembers
that it was indeed Goldbug who brought him to El Dorado and decides
to make him pay. But before Hulk can make him pay, a globe manifest
itself, capturing Hulk and Goldbug. Goldbug scarred that he might
die, cries to Hulk that they need to do anything possible to escape.
But before they can escape they disappear from the globe, and the
next moment they are down in the sewer system of New York City. The
globe has teleported the two of them home. After realizing that he is
home, he tries to run away from Hulk. He succedes, only to get up two
blocks from his penthouse. Thinking he’s home free he bumps
into a person, turning around he discovers his old enemy Luke Cage
nad Cage’s partner Iron Fist. Trying to take his way out of the
trouble with “I just saved the world me and the Hulk”.

two scientists has used the gold for radiaoctive experiments, one of
the scientists Peter Parker (woh is secretly known as Spider-Man)
manage to throw a spider-tracer on Goldbug’s ship, before he
escapes. Later Goldbug meets with the Maggia, who are very surprised
that he has manage to escape with the gold. But before their gold
expert Macchio can test if the gold is genuine, a voice shouts “Do
that–and you’ll never live to regret it!). The voice
belongs to Spider-Man, who is now shot at by the Maggia men. Goldbug
tries to shot Spider-Man with his golden gun, but his one of the
Maggian people instead, Spider-Man manage to capture Godlbug, taking
off his gloves, revealing that his arms are full of burning blisters
and running sores. The Maggia people now very angry at Goldbug for
also poisoning them, shoots at Spider-Man and Goldbug. Spider-Man
manage to jump away, but Goldbug falls in the water, and with a
costume of solid gold, drops to the bottom, apparently drowning)

into Mandy but she refused to listen to reason, saying that they’re
not her friends but enemies, and as enemies they must be killed. She

Vol.2 #20 (Comes to the offices of Nelson & Murdock, Mrs.
Barbato calls Matt and tells him that Samuel Griggs is there to see
him, Matt ask her if it is THE Samuel Griggs, and Mrs. Barbato
ask Griggs if he is THE Samuel Griggs, whereto Griggs answers
"yes". Matt agrees to meet him, and Griggs tells him that
he needs a lawyer, Matt says "I thought you had a lawyer",
and Griggs answers "A dozen actually, yet every one of them
refuses to take the case", and he would've had Claude Unger to
have taken the case, but since Murdock just defeated Unger in the
Braxton vs. Rosen trial, he now wants Murdock for this case, because
he believes Murdock is up for the challenge... to sue Daredevil. Matt
decides to call Foggy because he wants his partner to hear that
Griggs wants to sue Daredevil. When Foggy arrives, Griggs begins to
tell his story about Daredevil fighting ninjas, and breaking his
greehouse, and that's why he wants to sue Daredevil, for the damages
done to his greenhouse. Foggy and Matt have a hard time believing
Griggs story, but Griggs claims to have a memory like an elephant.
Foggy tests him, and Griggs passes Foggy's tests. Griggs now tells
Foggy and Matt why he wants to sue. He acknowlegde that superheroes
do alot of good, but at what costs, is having superheroes too
expensive for the society. Foggy thinks that Griggs arguments are
pretty persuasive, and to add more to winning over the two lawyers,
Griggs decides to offer $100.000 to the foundation of the junior
blind. Matt tells Griggs that he wants 24 hours to decide whether or
not to take the case, Griggs agrees to that.)
Daredevil
Vol.2 #21 (Matt calls Griggs to tell him that he has decided
to take the case, and that he and Foggy wants to have a meeting
with Griggs, and see the crime scene, Griggs tells Matt that they can
meet monday morning. When the two lawyers arrives at Griggs' home,
they finds him in front of the press having a press conference,
introducing the two lawyers as the ones he wants to take the case.
Matt quickly says that Griggs has forgotten to inform the two lawyers
that he was holding a press conference, and that Foggy and Matt won't
make a statement before they have a word with their client. After the
press has left, Foggy and Matt are a bit angry at Griggs, but Griggs
defend himself by saying "lawsuits are wars, we've just fired
the opening shot", and that he has throught out his career
learned to handle the media, so if they handle the legal aspects, he
will handle the media. The two lawyers then visits the crime scene,
and wants to hear Griggs' version once more)
