hyperspace by Graviton, who was seeking allies for his latest

Quantum teamed up with Graviton and his two other allies the alien
Halflife and the electromagnetic entity Zzzax (see: Halflife
I, Zzzax).
The
team clashed with - and defeated - West Coast Avengers (see:
West Coast Avengers),
but the West Coast Avenger known as Tigra managed to escape (see: Cat
I), disguised as one of Graviton's
guards she managed to convince Quantum and Halflife, that each was
out to kill the other. As a result Quantum and Halflife began
fighting, and when Graviton intervened in the fight, the West Coast
Avengers managed to escape.
