Jim Scully is a Vietnam War veteran, who spent
5 years in a North Vietnamese Prison Camp. He was finally rescued and
decorated by the President (of the U.S.) for his bravery and not
giving any information to the enemy. Scully notes that he didn't even
have any information to give. While not mentioned by name, the medal
that he receives is the Congressional Medal of Honor, it's the only
military medal that you wear around your neck and that's how
President Nixon is placing it on Scully. When Scully returns home, he
discovers that his wife is living with another man, so he returns to
the home of his parents. There he discovers his brother, tripping on
acid. Through his brother, he finds out that his parents died while
he was a POW. In a fit of rage over his brother, Jim's brother lunges
at Jim with a knife. Jim chopped at his brother's neck and as his
brother fell to the ground, he landed on his own knife and died. Jim
ran. He hid in Oklahoma for two months. Then Georgia. He was finally
caught in Bermuda, and was being transported back to the United
States when the Air Force plane was caught in the Bermuda Triangle.
Scully and the other passangers (including Jeff Turner, Dr. Raymond
Cory and Ann Farrow Reynolds) was all sent to a pre-historic place.

Beacher was a talente chemical engineer in the design and development
laboratory of Beemont Manufacturing who created a chemical coating
that spplied to any object, eliminated all friction between the
object and any surface (see: Appendix,
M.U Companies, Beemont Manufacturing).
Beacher was about to unveil his discovery when Beemont was purchased
by a larger organization. Shortly after the R&D lab was closed
down and Beacher was fired. To get revenge for being fired, Beacher
created his supervillain indetity as Slyde and began robbing banks to
get money so he could start a company for himself, driving his former
employeers out of business. Slyde later discovered that the
organization which took over Beemont was owned by criminals, and
Beamont was now a front criminals. Slyde teamed-up with the New York
D.A to try to trap the criminals, Rockwell the man in front of
Beemont was trapped and with the help pf Spider-Man put in jail.
