This Celestial Madonna story is to me when Marvel canon started to corrupt. Before then we didn't really have these overly elaborate retcons. This is where that kind of stuff started. Someone got it in their head that Englehart was a good writer (HOW?!? Mantis is banging a tree!) and this type of stuff happened more and more often. Then it became a trend. Why construct a mythos when you can deconstruct a mythos. Why tell a good story when you can tell fanwank crap like Avengers Forever. ![]()
