Burt Ward seems to be hoping the animated movies will continue, the people in charge however aren't feeling motivated due to the loss of Adam West.
After all, WHO could replace Adam West as Batman 66? Answer: no one.
However with the technology they have they could take all of Adam's audio from the entire series and two animated movies, even his voice work from super friends and remix it all into new dialogue for some new movies. Even Doctor Who did it for the 50th anniversary when they created some new audio of Doc 1 speaking. no CGI rebuild of the actor, just his voice.
If Disney had permission from Robin Williams estate they could use the 6 hours of unused audio he made for the first Aladdin and make another movie if they wanted.
That would be easier then using CGI to recreate Peter Cushing as Tarkin or Carrie Fisher as Leia for Rogue One.
But.....would it be right? That has been the question since Rogue One came out, should Hollywood recreate the dead via CGI?
Should Batman 66 perish with Adam West or should audio reconstruction keep his voice alive for new movies?
That is the question.
