Subj: Cap 695 Revisted and trade recommendations

OK, not a revisit, but the thread is closed due to age.
Decided to pick this up and the only real complaint, which I have for all Marvel books, is the $4 price tag. Still think this is way too much for a comic book but that's another discussion all together.
Although I wasn't too excited about the art style from the previews, I have to admit it grew on me as I read the issue. It's NOT the Marvel Way for sure, very retro/Indy with a lack of detail and doesn't really take advantage of the current coloring and other printing advances we've had for.. well, longer than Cap's supposedly been back in this issue. But it also has a wholesome appeal to it that is reflective of the light Waid is portraying Cap in.
Overall I really enjoyed it. Not being tied to the Secret Empire Nazi-Cap stuff I didn't mind the quick refrence to that overdrawn story line (which I was hoping was going to be a 2 or 3 issue prop, not the thing it was that made me quickly drop that book)
Not sure what's in store for Steve with the re-icing. But if the book stays this entertaining I'll just have to learn to put up with the inflated price tag.
On a side note: I want to read some good Cap stories, any trade recommendations? Seems like every time I tried to get into Cap it wasn't something I wanted to read. He was shot dead while our country was at war.. not appealing. Then he was Bucky or Sam, or a geriatric who could barely walk (then a geriatric who kicked everyone's butt). Civil War I despised. What about some classic Cap, or Cap and Falcon trades? Seems I always see the Cap I like most in older (pre-Bendis) Avengers books, or in the MCU where Chris Evans is everything the Cap in the comics hasn't been until this issue for far too long.
