Captain America 697 (2018)
AGAIN! Simple story... slush(sentimentality). Not a complaint but a concern (again). It was a spot on portrayal of Cap in dire trap sitch sharing spotlight against an B-List supervillain. And Kraven was the foe and featured true to his rep as a premiere psychohunter toying with the hero in a cat and mouse game that he laid out. The idenitfied student guy was alright as the "cheese" but the readers deserved something more on the billiard gal who was the "bait". Sadly, no supporting cast yet. Not to mention, ignoring Kraven concurrent continuity as NYC Manhunter going on in the pages of Spider-man books is still really annoying. That easy peasy, dragged out 3page, "icy" cliffhanger predicament seemed more out-of-the-blue than ironic or entertaining. And almost missed turning to that cheap thrill with a glimpse of "REAL Wolverine" in that Marvel Movies themed AFTER closing credits bonus page, too!
Again, this installment was... likable enough. Except the Page 16 climax which kinda ruined the whole escape premise and reduced Kraven back to a habitual jobber. Cap threw him off the cliff possibly to his death - fine, survival of the fittest. But... to let go just to catch his shield (that had SOMEHOW was UNcredibly dislodged from being strapped to Kraven) seemed unheroic and/or inhuman in that particular moment.
Perfect cover. Maybe YOU thought this new chapter was perfect - or is it getting ...waitforit... cold?

[EDIT: So this may or may not be the MISNUMBERED variant cover for the issue the Google Search results is still frustratingly uncertain for me:
