I realize this may be an unpopular school of thought, but it just seems the scale is too big to be a good story on Ultimates.

The bad guy is the first universe? Literally a universe. That would later be broken down into the multiverse we all know on the 7th iteration? Then the secret wars Beyonder is nothing. How could even any abstracts be a realistic challenge? If he wants us dead, we are dead. Any human affecting the outcome of this is like if 6 plucky amoebas decided they were going to protect me from being attacked by, i dont know, lets say a rhino. They mean less than nothing to the outcome.

And all the maker has to do is right click, copy and paste to create realities/worlds when they are in that whatever state as Galactus metaphysically kicks in a door? Glad he wasnt using a Mac.

Its just too much. Its one thing to open up your mind, but it needs to be something that has at least an infinitesimal chance of be based in comic reality. But that is just me. Is there anyone else that feels close to the same?

The beyond is a beyond from the last recon and seemingly beyond what is happening too. The main villain here seems to be a rogue abstract with an army of super celestials.

There are ameobas that kill people. If they over power the threat than it is bad. If they free the cosmos and help out than I see noissues.

Not really. For decades we've known the Marvel Universe was the 7th iteration of the universe and Galactus was from the 6th iteration. This seems like the first time anyone has done anything with that piece of information as it pertains to universes 1-5.

And it's no worse than the dumpster fire that was Secret Wars. That set the tone I guess.

Not at all as long as it's done well. It potentially can be silly but Ewing seems to make if flow naturally and since Marvel is filled with street level stuff, there is more than enough room for stories on such a large scope.

I do appreciate he cares for continuity and history.....

I thought secret wars was ok, not the best but not the worst event series. Not near the dumpster fire the current one is.......

So who created the first Marvel Universe, which one was made by the Infinite Being, and is Galactus still seen as being the Sentience from prior Universe?
