Diamond accidentally leaked the December solicitations before the comic book companies got a chance. They've since been taken down but other sites snagged some of the info.

Bleeding Cool has the info here on 2 in 1.

As he hinted earlier on his blog, Jim Cheung will be the artist.

I don't want to like this as I don't care for the premise. But I love Jim Cheung's art.

Me too. I have a page of his from Avengers: Children's Crusade. Met him at C2E2 several years back. Nice fellow. I'm not familiar with the writer but this is probably the only new title I'm looking forward to getting.

Here is the Jim Cheung cover for the first issue

and an interview at Newsarama with writer Chip Zdarsky

I remember how FF Unlimited had a search for Reed when he was presumed dead from DeFalco, and there were a lot of empty stories since they never intended to have him come back until DeFalco's hand was forced. So that will be key here... If this story actually has a resolution, a lot of people will be happy. If it is a fake out search story that results in nothing but Ben and Johnny continuing together... I'll still prefer that over where they've been in the last couple of years, but it will feel like an empty beginning to this book.

I've never read anything by Chip Zdarsky, but have seen some negative comments. Looks like other than single issues here and there, Marvel wise he's only had a couple short runs on Howard the Duck and Spectacular Spider Man. What's the main complaint about his writing? I like the interview and how his favorite run is the Simonson run (mine too) and he started reading during Byrne's run (me too) as he is close to three years younger than me. (I'm 44)
I'll give him a chance since I don't know his writing. I did read an issue of Jughead that he wrote, but the Archie universe is a whole different feel that I can't judge how he will write this book from that one.

Someone big is supposed to be coming back that is supposed to be "internet breaking". If that turns out to not be Reed and Sue then I assume they won't be back for a long while.

This interview states that the main focus of at least the first story is Johnny and Ben trying to find the rest of the family. Doom holds secrets. I'll follow the title for a while. Maybe it'll be good although I've never heard of this writer. Cheung is always good.

The primer pages? Well, that put's it over the top!

I really appreciated what Zdarskey had to say in his interview and his enthusiasm is enticing. He might be right about Cheung especially pertaining to the Thing. Very hard character to draw and get right without coming across as comical. Love the cover to issue 2! I look forward to guest stars from FF history, too as Ben and Johnny embark on a quest for answers. Long overdue. Its an A+ interview that I hope translates to some A+ work and sales.

He did a fine job on the last two Howard the Duck series.

He's responsible for the most successful Howard the Duck since Gerber.

It lasted more than 12 issues in total.

And I didn't say it was successful. I said "most successful."

Yes but using the word successful implies that something was actually..you know...successful.
