Because, let's be honest, while Kirby was a great, photo realism wasn't his M.O.

But the other day I was in work and I saw someone from a different office who looked just like they'd stepped out of a Kirby drawing. It was so prominent I wanted to tell them, but couldn't figure out how to make it sound like a compliment.

I found a web page that states that the actor who played Dwight in the American version of The Office looks like a Kirby character. After seeing the pictures I have to agree.

Michael Shannon, who played General Zod looks like he could have been drawn by Jack Kirby to me.

Hah.. he was in 'Super'.. bashing people's heads in with a pipe wrench.. but Kirby never came to mind.

Great show! Many of the characters there look like a Kirby illustration. Dwight's cousin Mose Schrute. The lady that plays Meredith. I think because they are all exaggerated caricatures of office types it lends itself to the way of the King.
