I think the idea originally came from John's Flash Rebirth mini but it sounds like the movie is going to do that whole Henry Allen has been framed by Reverse Flash for Nora's murder plot that took up season 1 of the CW show. Why can' they do something different for the movie. We've already seen this story with the show.

We've also seen Flashpoint but guess what the rumor I've been hearing? The movie might do Flashpoint or at least their version of it.

Doesn't matter if this turns out to be not true, the movie is already copying the show. Only thing is, Grant Gustin is a MUCH better Flash than the guy they picked to be play him in the movie.

It's interesting that a hero/villain performs one amazing feat, or use a power they haven't used for 20+ years, and that automatically propels them to a high status despite scans and evidence to the contrary. I don't know what is worse, selective feat picking that has only been done once or twice 20, or more, years ago or ignoring evidence from scans or the lack thereof. We need to stop putting our favorite heroes/villains on pedestals and start putting them where they really belong.

Npw, now. Ezra may surprise us.

I find it comical that out of the LONG history of Flash (Barry Allen) the movie couldn't come up with a different plot than the TV show.

It's almost sad.

Right. I like Geoff Johns...but I'm sick of this Henry Allen in jail for allegedly murdering his wife stuff. Barry's parents were boring people without a real story to tell. Barry was kinda boring and so were his family...so just don't focus on them. He wasn't one of those heroes with a dramatic backstory. His blandness was just...part of the character. I mean even his haircut was bland.

Personally this goes back to what I think a lot of fans felt when the show started. Wally was always more interesting than Barry...the show should have been about Wally all along. Barry worked better as the dead mentor than he actually did as a main character. His silver ages adventures were great...but that had nothing to do with Barry as a person...he just had goofy powers (not the running...everything else) and colorful villains. Wally was the complex one...never Barry.

Yup.

I like Geoff Johns writing, but not his his neediness for his childhood.

Wally West and Kyle Rainer were AMAZING legacy characters that wonderfully carried on the mantles of Flash and Green Lantern. It was until the big crybaby Johns came along that Barry and Hal came back. Barry and Hal had their time...let someone else play hero.

Don't make me start on a rant about all the Crisis(s), and whatever DC is going through now with Watchmen-esque stuff.

After viewing the first trailer for Justice League, he's already convinced me that he won't be surprising me. Barry cracks jokes, acting like Spider-Man when that is "not" who Barry is.

Or come up with a better storyline than Flashpoint...

It's pathetic.
