The Totally Awesome Hulk 021

> IGN - Jesse Schedeen Jul 20, 2017
> The "Weapons of Mutant Destruction" crossover suffers from the same problem that has plagued the new Weapon X comic from the start. The character dynamics are strong, but the conflict itself is very bland and unremarkable...

Yeah. Granted, the cover is awesome (albeit symbolic here) and the Weapon H threat is genuine/ambitious (albeit nothing new), and Amadeus acts the most mature of the bunch (for a refreshing change).

Every WMD chapter so far has been so... sterile in it's execution. Bobby Nobody gets the most panels while star villain Rev.Stryker only gets one panel - you're not going to see that in a solicit tease. We get detailed (re)tracing of steps from the front gate to sub-basement labs, basically 5 stereotyped character copies of each other from the (dumbly) team titled "Weapon X" series, and an embarrassingly accomodating Cho whose partners heroic solution is to nuke the scientific community. It's felt off/wrong to think OML was fine with his peers trying to turn Cho to Hulk to see if it would turn him to their vigilante side. In the end, they all pat him on the back and SAY they'll play it Cho's way but they still go off against the town and wear those disturbing smiles seen in the creepy (albeit comical) last panel.

Did this excite anyone?
