I don't know if anyone else than me has been following 'Ultimates 2', but it was pretty epic.
This book operated on a cosmic scale higher than any we have ever seen before. Sadly, that appears to have limited either its public appeal or the places it could go, because it has just been cancelled, after its tenth (officially 100th, including all issues of all 'Ultimates' series that went before) issue.
It seemed to involve absolutely anything. Remember that 'Defenders' mini Matt Fraction pushed out a few years go? Al Ewing managed to make it important and meaningful in hindsight. Yeah. Remember the 'New Universe'? Yup. There. Remember the Aspirants? Guess what.
Well, it also featured the Maker, the evil Reed Richards from the Ultimate Universe, who was being used to destroy the multiverse (In his defense, he thought he was creating the 'Ultimate Universe' and reuniting his scattered self, but he was still a jerk about it)... and at one point, he used the knowledge he had gained from the Aspirants to re-write reality, bringing the Ultimates - the originals - back into existence.
Including Ultimate Tony Stark.
Who, in his cheerful, friendly way, ends up using his technological acumen (Together with his new friends' abilities and the Maker's machines, admittedly) to save the Multiverse.
Together. Not alone. That's pretty amazing.
Read the issue to see what else might follow, eventually...
