IF rebirth brings back the olf Jsa team to earth prime, why even have E2 team stick around then?

Well, that is the question. The only problem with Earth-2 is the way it has been managed, catastrophically managed, for its first two years it is one of the great successes of the 2011 restart with an average of 40'000 sales per month and an impressive world building exercise from James Robinson (and latterly Tom Taylor), and then comes 'Worlds End'... as a publisher DC threw this marvellous fresh concept into the grinder, all to make a quick bit of cash.

The idea of a lost JSA on Earth-1 intrigues me, and yet looking at the track record DC has in managing these things I am also hesitant.

I would think Earth-2 is not long for the schedules realistically, the book has been painted into a very tight corner in terms of potential directions and the sales are not good at all, so the new Rebirth JSA being hinted at is clearly being lined up as the replacement.
As I say, it has real potential. But then Earth-2 was a superb reimagining itself when launched just four/five years ago, so this depends on how optimistic you are that DC have learnd lessons in these last few years. \(fear\)

Think that the real Jsa coming back into the DCU would be great, as long as they have many of the prior members...

heck, the old/new Superman might in long run be better suited to being their team leader, rather than Jla!

How about the Spectre?

And why not have old/new Superman leading the main Jsa team?

Spectre isn't much of a JSA player these days. I'm sticking to a Geoff Johns-like JSA.

No. This is the Justice Society before the New 52 fiasco happened. Hawkman deserves to be leader, but I might make it either Jay or Alan if Carter turns down.

I'm glad someone remembers Anna Fortune! A memorable addition to the JSA ALL-STARS book with an interesting set of talents...

There was/is a new female Tarantula who appeared in Green Arrow recently, her costume closely patterned after Jonathan Law's.
From what little we know of the new and secret JSA I would think that this team will be a reworked and modernised version of the traditional group. Plus If the group dissapeared in the 1950s then that would make them somewhere in their 30s agewise when they reappear in the modernday, with this context in mind there is little chance of a generational aspect to the group anymore, so no Infinity Inc or Starman family. Perhaps though we will get to see Terry Sloane alive again, and there should be no particular block on a revival of Ma Hunkle and Cyclone given they existed outside of the JSA. Intriguingly if you take this logic further and accept the 'secret history' aspect then there would be no reason The Seven Soldiers of Victory did not exist either, meaning Pat Duggan could still have been a member and therefore step-daughter Courtney have an actual (loose) connection to the JSA and that generation of heroes... in fact if you think on this subject then what has been seen unfolding in Titans Hunt by Dan Abnett is an interesting glimse at how a JSA might be remembered and reintegrated into the modernday DC Universe.

And upon further thought if the likes of Al Pratt, Libby Lawrence, Johnny Chambers, all married before the JSA went into limbo then their families would have carried on over the next 50+ years... meaning there may be good reason for a Al Rothstein, Jesse Chambers and Jack Knight to still exist out there and be ready to 'remember' their true heritage... \(fear\)

The Spectre wa sa founding member of them though, wasn't he?

And pre flashpoint Supes mentality would fit into the older JSA viewpoints, correct?

They're gonna use the ones in the preview art, those 7 with Thunder.

The earth 2 will be retired or half killed while ones with no counterparts join the jsa and maybe star girl.

It should be a possibility as logic does tend to support the idea that if the JSA were accidentally sent into Limbo circa 1953, and the world made to forget they existed, then relatives and children would carry on with their lives. When the JSA return, and people 'remember' them, then so too will their surviving families and any teammates who were left behind. I don't expect there to necessarily have been an All-Star Squadron in this continuity but surely the wartime era would produce more heroes that just the main eight core members of the JSA...

I confess to not being at all sure where Jim Corrigan's origin stands at the moment, was he killed in the early 1940s or the modernday? Did Doctor Fate exist back in the forties? Was there a Carter Hall and Shiera?
Without a doubt this will be a modern take on the JSA, so we should not expect the group to look or be the the same as what we are accustomed to expection.
