Subj: "Miles Morales' " Spider-man #234... Posted: Thu Nov 02, 2017 at 04:00:15 pm EDT (Viewed 168 times)
Spider-Man 234 Marvel Legacy would have been the perfect time to remove Miles' Spider-man identity from the "616". Better to put him in a new timeline or new costumed identity, anything to put an end to the confusing shared existence with Peter Parker's Spider-man and the bothersome necessity to preface Spider-man with "Peter Parker's" or similar cumbersome qualification for Miles'. Heck, even this month's Avengers 673 recap label's Miles by Miles Morales instead of confusing readers with "Spider-man" (and oddly NINO got called Nova). The backup 3-page Legacy Primer Origin even was sickeningly generic and continues to ignore the ramifications of his destroyed 1610 reality, Secret Wars and Molecule Man. The current mini Spider-mEn has been a dud so far. Any of that could have been touched on with this renumbering and relaunch - but NO SUCH LUCK. Sigh. They do just compound the bafflement with the main story reintroduction of Miles' uncle's namesake -if not his actual and natural uncle- Aaron Davis who is (probably copying the name) Iron Spider! The Goldballs loves Bombshell loves Miles loves Rodriguez soap opera. The recruitment of the new Sinister Six. The nice enough art (except it should be the mother not the daughter on the cover). Yeah, OTHER THAN that priority rant above - this issue was... okay. ![]() Support Cancer Research and Alzheimer Research.
