We drop in on MC2 again as Anya pays a visit to play around with Benjy in Mayday's absense. Uncle Ben is there, but It's dawning on me that this series has visited Mayday's dimension twice now without one appearance from Mary Jane. \(euh\)

Still, it's a nice scene, and Benjy seems to be coping well.

Of course Mary Jane's not appeared! Why would she? It's not like the loss of her daughter might have an impact on her in any way. And I'm sure she'd be just peachy keen with letting the people who are the reason her daughter hasn't come back just hang out in her home.

What, is Anya going to start wearing Mayday's clothes next? She's practically interchangeable with May at this point. If she's going to be in Mayday's house, interacting with Mayday's family, WHY WAS MAYDAY THE ONE THEY GOT RID OF?!

What do you reckon from what the letters pages indicate? They say the title will be tying in to Dead No More, the next big event from Dan Slott focusing on returning dead characters to the land of the living...possible return of MC2 Peter?

Except that it's the Jackal behind DNM. So if Peter does come back, it will be as a clone. And while Clones are people, it doesn't change the fact that the original person is dead.

So of course they're going to 'resurrect' Peter. Either the 'resurrected' Peter will then die, or they'll all completely ignore the implications and say this means Peter is 'back'. Considering how they clearly don't give a damn about MC2 except apparently for Benjy and because it's where Uncle Ben ended up.

I can't help but wonder how they intend to tie Web Warriors into DNM in the first place.

We don't know that.

You're right, I'm not sure what made me think 'Jackal'. He's just wearing a Jackal mask, apparently resurrected people previously thought dead, & running around with Gwen Stacy or more likely, a clone thereof. There's no evidence either way!

Why the attitude?

I guess I got a little snippy when you declared 'we don't know' that the Jackal is the one behind DNM, despite the mountain of evidence.

But what I said was correct. We don't know that Jackal is the villain. From what we know, it would make some sense, but at the moment it's just speculation. Suspecting something to be true isn't knowing something to be true.

People have been saying for a while the man in red could be Mephisto.

However, in today's issue of Spider-Man/Deadpool, Mephisto turns up and it's revealed he remembers the deal (essentially retconning One Moment In Time's assertion that Mephisto deleted himself from the deal), he visits Peter in a dream and reminds him that he lost the battle for his soul.
