Everyone's been worried about whether Thor is going to get his hammmer back. That seems like a foregone conclusion fast approaching (fingers crossed.) I'm more curious if he'll be getting his arm back. It's one thing for him to change his view of things and be worthy of Mjonir again. I wonder how they plan on justifying growing the appendage back or if they will at all.

cheers,

Personally, I want an absolute retcon of the last 3+ years across the board of the 616. Undo ALL of it and give pink slips to all involved in the All New All Different club of writers/editors.

Agreed, my new dream job is to be the Thor writer at Marvel and pull a Jason Aaron by first making a few solid Thor stories. Then when everyone loves me, I begin my agenda by retconing Thor, this time by undoing almost everything Aaron has done. The ultimate revenge

I don't think this will happen under Aaron so until a new writer comes in get use to this 1 armed, shirtless, de-balled Thor and temperamental hammer.

No idea. At first I thought it was to tie in to the fate that King Thor suffered, but the arm they fitted him with in the current run doesn't look like King Thor's arm. So unless the goal is to lead into him getting the Destroyer's arm, I imagine it will have to come back sometime.

Thinking about this already makes me miss the entire arc.

Agreed. As bad as Thor has had it, he's at least not alone.

Bring back Bruce Banner's Hulk.
Fix Captain America.
Get Doc Ock out of a Peter's clone body (UGH)
Let Jane have her heroic death, and get Thor back

**Side note: If you REALLY want a Jane Thor, then let her have proven worthy of her OWN hammer, Beta Ray Bill style, and go from there. Let Thor go back to being Thor.

At the end of Secret Wars it showed Unworthy Thor leaving with the Destroyer arm. As far as I know nothing has been done to follow it up so maybe it wasn't our Odinson or meant nothing after the reset. Aaron wrote that Thors series so I have to wonder if the arm appears sometime soon. I thought it might be used as a replacement for mjolnir but that does not sync with the king Thor arc. Of course that arc may be non-continuity now as well. That would be fine by me because it was a good read king Thor had a REALLY bad life stretching back centuries, maybe longer.

Given that the power of THOR shape shifts the recipient from a normal human into the God of Thunder, it is possible that once he regains the hammer it will regenerate his arm.

Obviously one wants me to recover not only his hammer but also his arm, but while this author is in charge I see it very difficult.

The damage that caused Aaron will be difficult to repair.

....because THIS Mjolnir and the story behind it and the "new" history created by the current Marvel braintrust is just not my cup of tea. I write this knowing there are others who like the new direction...much respect to you. Just stating my opinion.

The arm at least is still his. This hammer...isn't anymore.
