To those of us that stopped collecting Thor. After 3 years of the wholesale destruction of one of my favorite comic book characters I don't think I can do business with marvel at ALL. The disgust and outrage is just too much to just shrug off. The next writer has to be damned good to even make me consider picking up another issue.

I will never buy another Aaron penned Thor (nor any Aaron book ever).

However, I will give the next writer a chance, be that 6-12 issues...provided they are not an obvious fan-hater idealogue.

But Marvel do have a problem turning around the public perceptions and the destructive identity politics they have been peddling.

.... in all likelihood... never. The cringe-fest that SJW/ identity politics/ regressive leftist marvel has become is not just a book here or there.. but the entire marvel comics universe.

I stopped buying ALL marvel comics shortly after siege ( what 7 or 8 years ago ).. and I am glad I have not wasted my money on the propaganda and trash they put out.

The art and storylines I have seen ( from youtube videos ) are childlike and just pathetic compared to how things used to be. When I see marvel comics now.. I don't even recognize them as something I used to buy and read.. they are that bad. ( and depending on how Infinity War goes.. the movies may not be far behind..).

I am sure many of you watch his videos.. but for anyone who does not.. Diversity and Comics youtube channel covers a lot of this. The current Champions book is an example..:

No, it is no longer entertainment I enjoy so not worth my money. I believe movies are also bending that direction due to Disney. In full truth I will not sell my Disney stock at this point as it is profitable, with the companies track record the last years ESPN and such that may change. Thankfully have this board.

They  maybe backing down just a little- due to financial considerations, but the very same Mentality still remains from the people on top who are actually ruling the show in Marvel/Disney. However, you have to remember that Alonso and others who have been recently dispatched  from Marvel were just peons or puppets. In essence, they were the fall guys in case everything went South.;  or does anyone here  really believes that any employee in any job capacity could  do (writing and editing) and say every day whatever the hell they  POLITICALLY want in their particular workplace w/o any SERIOUS consequences?  Do you actually believe that any of these Left Wing Radicals weren't vetted by Marvel to begin with?   That Marvel  did not know that these people  were going to insert their Extreme Political Ideologies into their stories? It maybe a MOMENTARY reprieve for now, but that's about it!!!

You must uderstand that people that have an Extreme Socialist/Communist tendencies won't accept ANY other opinions that contradict theirs- for if you do -you are a mortal enemy to them. They do not need to explain or justify anything they do to anyone or to the masses; since they feel their words and actions should not be questioned.. To illustrate, if they want  their Social Justice Champion in Jane Foster to now be the REAL Thor, and that the  UNWORTHY Thor should be humiliated in the process- YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT THIS REALITY W/O ANY QUESTIONS!!!  FOR YOU DON'T HAVE ANY RIGHTS AS CUSTOMERS TO CONTRADICTS THEIR LEFT WING POLITICAL DECISIONS!! The ONLY thing that could stop their mad Political insanity in a country that it still is free- is to not buy their trash!! And now they're feeling the backlash and the heat a little bit, but will NEVER admit  to any mistakes- because that would be like giving credibility to any opposing point of view; which is practically  equivalent to death for these radicals Marvel Elites...

D and C is largely how I keep up on my comics these days. Being as bad as they are mocking them gives me at least some entertainment.

Thor's my favorite character, so I'll be excited to see what a new team does with the title.

I respect people here who say they won't, but I don't understand the lingering outrage that seems to persist over Aaron's run. I didn't care for it, but hey, it'll be a new day soon. It seems as though some don't want to move on. To each their own.

Though that answer implies that I originally left, which isn't quite the case.

Comics aren't some crucial part of my life that becomes marred beyond repair should a limited series comes out that I don't agree with. They're entertainment, and I've yet to give anything I deem mere entertainment that much leeway over my sensibilities.

...if Marvel (Aaron) do something to the real Thor that ruins the character forever, I will never buy another Marvel book, ever. For example, if Aaron writes a story that Thor becomes gay, that is an unforgivable thing, and Marvel will never be able to do anything, literally nothing, to salvage the character at that point. Even if the new writer writes a story where Thor beats Hulk, Superman, and the whole X-Men roster at the same time while singlehandedly saving the entire multiverse, the character would be damaged goods for me, and no longer worth reading. I specifically gave that example, because I think, if the rumors prove to be true, that Thor and Jane will somehow be linked through the hammer, I think  the next thing to happen will be that some of Jane's feminine feelings could spill over Thor....which would really suck. It would be the ultimate humiliation to the character that I love and followed all these years.

Currently, things look bleak for the real Thor, and I can not get excited for the book. The ironic thing is, if Aaron did not make Thor unworthy and not replace him with Jane, his stories would have been really excellent and refreshing. The real Thor vs the Shi'ar gods? War of Realms? Thor saving Asgard from the most powerful version of Mangog? All excellent, if it was the real Thor. Since, it's Jane Foster who is front and center, the only thing I feel is  blind rage and wishing what could have been.

If Jane dies...I mean really die, and Thor is restored to his former glory, I will come back in a heartbeat. But by the looks of things, this whole Jane nonsense will continue.

Jason Aaron should go.

I could get excited again, if JMS or Walt Simonson returns to the title.

I'll come back if the current writer is gone and the ship is set right otherwise I've pretty much dropped Thor with the occasional issue with a favorite character (ie: Gladiator or The Destroyer) Dauterman's artwork is great and its a real shame that it was tied to this arc with Jane Thor. If the art work is good with a good story I'll buy. The other SJW crap that Marvel put out I didn't even bother looking at and Marvel has lost sales with me.

I've deleted the off-topic posts.

As mentioned before, please use the Community board for posts about politics and SJW/Marxist/ideological shenanigans.

Thanks.

Hello Bootch. I've often wondered, are the Mods allowed to provide their personal/general comments in forums? Or is it against company policy to do so? Thanks.

As far as the OP question goes, I'm waiting until the Mangog saga wraps to find out what direction the title takes.

Never left. Having said that, the characterization of Thor is cringe-worthy. I don't mind the occasional replacement character like Jane as I didn't mind Masterson, they're just temporaries who eventually go away after their stories have been told. What I don't like though it how Thor's and Odin's characters have been twisted. I understand development must happen, but that was just bad. And it's not Aaron's fault either, this started right after JMS left the book.

Off the top of my head, I don't think there's a specific rule which states that Mods can't join in and post threads on topical issues.

Thanks for your reply. I've never witnessed a MOD starting or joining in on a discussion in this forum or any of the others.

I was just curious, thanks for your reply.
