I noticed that with regard to toys, there was very little offered in stores with regard to Thor Ragnarok. I did see one Thor figure in ToysRUs the other day, nothing in Walmart except for a Hulk figure, and a few Legends figures. Meanwhile, Black Panther is splashed all over in ToysRUs and other retailers. Did Thor again get shortchanged?

It means that the Thor Ragnarok Toys sold well and are now gone, however it is possible that Marvel stopped making more in anticipation for Black Panther, but I can’t see any company making movie Toys three months after the movie was released.

I do not pay much attention to toys but I know there were a fair bit. I randomly ended up with one for my birthday. Apparently Target had a number of them and some other places.

But, I honestly am not a big toy person and would not know for sure.

yes, usually the stores that get the toys..., most of the good ones are gone before it hit the shelves, because there are people that work there that hides them for themselves and their friends. of course, not all stores do that, but a good sum do.

if you really want to get certain toys, the best way to do it early is to get it online. when the thor movie came out, i went to target, walmart, ebay, amazon, all the major dept stores that i know sell marvel toys, and look for them there. i have bought a lot of Thor Ragnarok items for sure!

There are several though the quantities seem to be limited. That may mean they are selling well. I don't collect but have received three Thor-one electronic- and a hulk gladiator as gifts. Hulk being in the movie probably prompted more than usual.
Black Panther and Captain Marvel represent potential huge new market areas for Marvel/Disney that could be unprecedented and increase the superhero movie market audience for another ten years( Wonder Woman style) Expect every kind of product related to saturate the market. Basically the two movies have to be hugely popular or it means ragnarok for phase two Marvel. I think they will be but it almost seems like Batman/superman-woman Marvel style.

There were a number of Thor Ragnarok toys released a month or so ahead of the movie release date. The fact that you can hardly see them now in the market is proof that the tie-in merchandise for the movie sold really well. Hmmmmm...from memory, the Ragnarok toys were: a Marvel Legends set with gladiator Hulk as baf (Thor, Loki and Hela); Marvel Legends 6 inch 2 -pack (Thor and Valkyrie); 3.75 inch 2-pack (Thor and Hulk); couple of 12 inch electronic Thor and Hulk figures, those goofy 12 inch figures with limited articulation; foam hammer; electronic  1:1 scale hammer....

I suggest track down the Marvel Legends Hela figure with extra Cate Blanchett unmasked head, that one sold out quickly and remain to be a very hot figure. I have seen on message boards that it was recently re-released in other parts of the world, but without the extra Cate Blanchett head.

I was thinking the same thing. I was at Old Navy this weekend and saw a Black Panther t-shirt, but there was nothing (for adults) for Thor when Ragnarok came out. I didn't see any Ragnarok/Thor shirts at Walmart or Target, either, and they usually carry Marvel shirts that seem to sync up with the movies that are coming out. I might have missed them, but I had the same feeling you have in regards to the toys.

When Thor Ragnarok was released, there was very little in the way of toys and clothing (t-shirts).  Walmart carried a Hulk figure, there were a couple of shirts on-line, etc.  Compared to this, Blank Panther has been better advertised or support by Walmart and other stores.
