Sooo, they're called "PYRAMOIDS" and it's confirmed that grabbing one "ANNIHILATES" you. Hmm... seems like details better told IN-STORY.
Yeah, they used that term in the latest issue, too. I don't buy the total destruction thing, Black Dwarf and everyone else wouldn't be so gung ho to earn points for their team by dying. Either the winning team gets everyone back (meaning they aren't really dead yet) or they just accept going to the penalty box until the game's over.
Sooo, the big mystery villain was... someone readers don't know and had no chance of guessing? That seems a bit antidramatic reveal at this point, eh? He looks cool, though. His codename is "CHALLENGER"? Is that a boringly generic monicker or a designated appelation of an (new) Elder just like En Dwi Gast got?
Yeah, why hide a guy in shadow if he's just as unrecognizable in broad daylight?
Say what now? Grandmaster is upset about Johnny being (apparently) annihilated? That's kinda interesting. And the LL are honorable players? Huh. Let's see if Sam or Simon are smart enough to put 2 and 2 together...
That's not Grandmaster sad about Johnny, it's Lightning. They look similar in these pages/colors.
Quote:What do YOU think of the preview?
Enjoying the story, if only for the fast pace and lots of characters.
Quick questions since I'm just coming back: So Simon is a pacifist now? Is Herc back up to classic Herc strength or is he still more or less bearded big Spider-Man strength?
Herc seems back to his normal Thor-level strength. In his 2016 series, he was soloing groups of giant monsters.
Really wish writers would leave his strength there. It sucks having to always wonder where it is this month.
