Spoilers

.

In the first episode, the first time we see Fish Mooney, she is watching a stand-up comedian try out at her club. He tells a blackly humorous joke and she loves it. Then some violence occurs that he witnesses and he gets scared. Right off the bat I thought it would be him, so when I saw Jerome's first episode I thought they must have changed their minds. Now that we know that Jerome was a little misdirection, I think once again that it is the comedian from Ep 1.

Either Joker is a John Doe or a very minor character and the reveal will be unsatisfactory (for example, Andrew Dove).

Either he is one of the recurring male characters but none seems to fill the profile.

I cannot see Bruce Wayne, Gordon, Bullock, Penguin, Riddler, Hugo Strange, Scarecrow, Ra's Al Ghul, Theo Galavan, Harvey Dent ... becoming the Joker.

It might probably be one of the younger characters but it isn't easy to figure out who could evolve into the Joker among them.

I hope that they don't plan the clone to become the Joker ? It would be so silly ...

Also, Jerome Valeska has become so close to a proto-Joker that if a "true" Joker appears on the show, he will look like a copycat compared to Jerome Valeska.

I wonder how they expect to resolve that.
