I think that some interesting stories are going to come from this, but I say no! It's ongoing fiction, so other writers are going to have to follow and work with it (King won't be on the book forever.), and what's going to happen with the Justice League and when he goes on League missions? Now, I HATE Batman being on the Justice League (Or even leading them.), but will he now have to bring Catwoman with him? And I doubt that DC will ever divorce them, and if they have any type of marital friction it can't really go anywhere. I just see too many complications. II am surprised that DC is doing this, and I am SOMEWHAT curious to see what happens. I just don't think that this fits Batman, per se!

Sure, why not? Either he gets married or he does not. We have had 79 years of “not” and it is kind of old.

Back when I was a pup, Curt Swan had been drawing Superman for decades. So a Superman story from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s looked the same. The stories were interchangeable and I remember specifically liking Spider-Man because stories and the order they were told mattered.

This not a slam against Swan, he was a great Superman artist, but he was also a sign of stagnation.

I like the fact that Bats has some growth. Every time DC tries to make him a grim loner (see 1986, 2000, 2004, 2011, 2016) his books quickly fill up with the Batfamily.

Remember Robin first appeared less than a year after Bats did. He has always had people around him. Batman works best with people around him, he just does.

And what is the alternative? Bruce endlessly dating women that we are meant to like only to see them break up? Strikes me as boring.

With Selina in the mix, we have romance, and many readers, male and female, like that. Bats has Batman, Detective, Justice League of America, and 47 other books. Selina does not have to be in all of them. But having a nice thin man (look it up) vibe in one book does not ruin the character to me.

One warning. The relationship has to be written well. Many comics writers can’t write anything resembling a healthy relationship if their lives depended on it. So there is that to be worried about.

Or I could be wrong
