I found her irreverence to be one of the highlights of the film. I'm not a Black Panther fan, but I do have a few issues with her in it [Particularly because Morlun and Doom were villains for the stories]. . .

And I found a much different character than the film. As a non-fan of the source material, I think having his sister play the more "fun" role was likely a good choice. However I'm wondering ...

If this bothered any fans of the character? [assuming she has fans lol]

Would it bother you if the comic character evolved into her movie character? [assuming she hasn't since Doomwar]

Does Wakanda have an established comical/funny character who would have been a possible match?

On the contrary, I think that it was an excellent idea to make her the "Q + Lucius Fox" character of the movie instead of a generic female Black Panther (like Supergirl is to Superman).

The MCU Shuri is also obviousy inspired by Moon Girl & Riri Williams but I prefer her to the 2 comics characters.

Being Wakanda's leading scientist, it would be totally logical that she is as smart as Tony Stark & Bruce Banner and, perhaps, potentially smarter.

The casting of Letitia Wright was an excellent idea.
