If I want to see our current political landscape, i can turn on the TV news or look out my window - I dont need to pay $3.99 a month for it.

I'd be okay with this if I was convinced that this isnt just going to end up some anti-conservative diatribe.

Politics in comics - especially Cap comics - are a given, but previous writers have generally managed to do this without so much personal bias. Spencer was dripping with the stuff, and I fear Waids run is going to be more of the same based on these synopsis.

...I mean, if you liked his work before, you'll probably get something like that again. It's not like he became liberal yesterday. This is the guy who gave the "Cap gives up his shield" speech in his American Civics class. But if I didn't tell you he was a liberal, would that have really come out if you read his previous runs?

I think the same will be with this run. You can't ignore what happened in the previous run. Not completely. The whole thing centered around Cap going all Nazi. But I think Waid found the more interesting route of the American public questioning the foundations of Captain America. That's different than, say, the government doing it.

Everyone trusted Cap before. Now people distrust him in a very fundamental way. That's an interesting way for Cap to build back up.
