You're making the mistake that I've repeatedly cautioned you against, which is to evaluate a character's power based on one showing. *sigh*

You always do that. Not me.

Up to that point in time, Thor was always recognized as the most powerful Avenger. What other writers before Busiek thought another Avenger was more powerful and which Avenger was this?

Can you quote any other Avengers writer stating Thor was the most powerful avenger of all time?

I'm still waiting for those low showings Thor had under Busiek.

He didn't have any low showings under Busiek. The Thor that Busiek wrote in his Avengers series was routinely shown to be one of the most powerful beings on the planet.

Some of Thor's more overzealous fans took it very personally when Superman beat him (despite it being a close fight, Superman remarking how incredibly tough Thor was, and later in the series being blown away by how powerful Thor actually was).
