Never particularly been a fan of Grande (certainly not in her demo), and she seems to me to be about as irritating a person as her brother (couldn't stand him on Big Brother), but what she and her team pulled off so quickly was amazing. Kudos to them.

I hated her at first, since she seemed to be just a product of marketing that we were supposed to love. I warmed up on her a bit when she was on SNL. She actually does have a pretty good voice, even if I don't care for her style of music. And I agree that her brother was very irritating (see my earlier comments about the marketing machine).

But now I'm a fan of her as a person. Her career was a casualty of an ugly attack that was way beyond her control (and though her career isn't even a consideration considering that young people died - still.). And her response on behalf of the families was just outstanding. She is classy and big-hearted, and I wish her every success. Ditto to all the artists who joined her during that concert.

And a lean, silent figure slowly fades into the gathering darkness, aware at last that in this world, with great power there must also come -- great responsibility!
