Kneeling is respecting the flag and perhaps more than standing. Pointing out the flaws in the system is inherently better, and frankly, kneeling is more reverent.

The system has flaws, and I agree that protesting those flaws peacefully is the better course. But NFL teams aren't kneeling out of respect (thought I don't think it's their intent to disrespect either).

The flag is a rag. No one died for it. They died for kneeling, and other forms of protest against the government.

I'm not really saying that kneeling is wrong, but there is some gray here that bears discussing. Yeah, people died for our right to kneel, but I think it's our duty to remember that they did die for that right. At least be mindful of honoring that sacrifice, which is in part what the flag is for.

Basically. Though I'd also argue that it's all a distraction. While everyone's busy boycotting teams for kneeling, no one's talking about Trump's failure to pass healthcare reform, or the growing Russian investigation.
