So why are having this conversation?  That's what the gun control debate is about, taking better precautions to reduce gun deaths.  No one is saying it's going to eliminate all gun violence, but anything to help reduce it is a step in the right direction.


 But said precautions have to be EFFECTIVE! Bans tend not to work, as seen with alcohol and drugs. But it's also important to keep the FACTS in mind as well.
