uh oh maybe the social justice warriors were right all along? I hope not.

I hope not too. Even with these initial reviews I'm still really looking forward to this. The only criticism that I've seen in the reviews that's making me worried is the apparent lack of mysticism in the series in the first six episodes. That's what I've been a little worried about where this series is concerned from near the beginning when Marvel and Netflix were having trouble deciding the direction of the series due to the mystical element of his origin. I know it's been mentioned that they want to keep this series a bit more grounded, but I really want to see some of the more fantastic elements to Iron Fist's story. Hopefully the later episodes will deal at least a little bit with his story in K'un Lun and with the dragon, Shou-Lao.

Still, even if it doesn't include some of those magical elements, I really enjoyed the last trailer and I love that they actually gave him the powers of the Iron Fist so I'm still pretty optimistic.
