New designer drug in the streets

School board wanting to usurp his authority as principal

the kid that was shot is paralyzed, severed spinal cord

Tobias' reputation was built on the idea he killed Black Lightning, his boss isn't pleased that BL is back.

We get a few references to the night when BL was thought to be killed and a few references to the costume he wore in that era

BL's daughter is starting to use her powers

Tobias starts to work the paralyzed kid into hating Black Lightning as part of a plan to turn the public against Black Lightning.

BL's tech friend investigates the area where BL's daughter trashed some goons but doesn't tell BL. Also he gives BL a nice power upgrade "electric vision", he can now see all active power sources.

possible romantic tension forming between BL and the assistant principal?

Another great episode.

Things that stood out.

The one drug dealer trying to get a selfie with Black Lightning. LOL!

Lightning's daughter trying to be a hero and not knowing what she's doing. I think it's neat that we're seeing very early days.

Tobias took some doctor's word for it that Black Lightning was dead. That is really disappointing. I was hoping for a flashback to some kind of awesome pull out all the stops fight between the two of them 9 years ago.

Is Dexter's dad trying to keep Lightning away from the investigation of the new hero (his daughter)? Does he suspect who it is?

Is the villain's plan to make the boyfriend hate Lightning going to work?
