I noted the same thing, on this website and on another (larger traffic) website. Interest seemed to wane quickly.

I too thought it was the best of the CW shows. I'm of the opinion that the longer seasons actually hurt the other shows. Each episode of BL seemed tight with no filler. Each one advanced the story line. We'll see how it does with a full season next year.

The only part about BL season 1 I didn't really care for was the payoff of the "Lala" subplot - they went a long way to raise him from the dead (without any explanation as to how, that I'm aware of) only to throw him away in episode 12. Not satisfying in the least.

The two daughters and their ascension to hero status was very well handled. The younger daughter in particular took a circuitous road that felt very organic.

Looking forward to season 2.
