I don't think it's true to say the FF wallowed in humility when Hickman was writing it though.


Not what I meant, oh Maiden of Fe! Sales were good but the level of respect from outside.. the overall perception of the FF as reflected throughout the eyes of their peers, wasn't there. We all know the FF outsold a lot of their contemporaries that still see print.

I really did try to read the whole Hickman run again, it pains me that I just can't seem to like it. But that's another topic.

Doom will always get the respect it seems, but not Reed and Co. Back to the original topic, if Doom's castle was abandoned no one would throw away anything.. every scrap would be a treasuree.
