    So they're the Sentry? \:\)

Yes (^_^')

... but without the biggest mistake done about the Sentry : he is overpowerful.

I was thinking about Star Trek 2009, also.
(Nero changing the past and creating a darker world in the process)

The FF are like the Star Trek team of the Marvel Universe.

A retro, anachronic, vintage, Silver Age FF team out of his time... it would be totally different from the other movies.

I heard a lot of people saying that the FF are dated. Why couldn't it be an advantage instead of a flaw ?

Both Ant-Man & Guardians of the Galaxy already played a similar angle with success : Hank Pym used to be the Cold War superhero and Peter Quill is fan of the 1980s.
Obviously, Marvel Studios plan Carol Danvers to be the 1990s superhero.

Maybe, the FF are the sci-fi superheroes of the 1960s ?

Besides, interdimensional/spacetime travel has always been part of the FF saga.

What if the MCU versions of Reed Richards & Doctor Doom, instead of Nathaniel Richards, were the first interdimensional spacetime travelers ?

Perhaps, the Baxter Building has been stuck in the Crossroads since the 1960s ?

Or, maybe, in the MCU, the Illuminati, S.W.O.R.D. and the Brotherhood of the Shield are one and the same and Reed Richards, Howard Stark & Henry Pym were the three 1960s Illuminati ?
Maybe, the FF team disappeared during a Secret War in the 1960s ?

Also, I know how I would make the FF movie different from the others (see multiple sources of inspiration below)ée
