Kudos to you, AC, for completely ‘seeing it” with respect to Johnny’s cosmic dysfunction.

Only a few possibilities here:

1. You cleverly deduced that Marvel was tying Johnny’s power loss to Sue and Reed’s absence - though we never see Ben complaining. I would think that Ben would notice a change in strength or power. Wouldn't’ Ben revert to human slowly and notice change in his form? Still you saw the pattern.

2. You know someone at Marvel.

3. Marvel monitors this forum - and used your idea.

Either way, since #1 is the most likely, I salute you.

I'd go for the spygate option IF it wasn't already written! I did give you credit AC, just couldn't remember who had that theory \:P

HydroMan vs Wolverine: I agree.. the next scene should be Wolverine waking up in the woods, naked and with all his stuff gone. WTF can he do against the guy? Johnny's the threat.. or Ben could do the dispersion slap. But slice water! ooohh.. he's the best he is at what he does, and what he'd do here is recover after drowning.
