I'm gonna disagree here and say that I enjoyed the episode.

Yep, me too.

Just having different problems to solve other than evil speedsters and time travel made it feel fresher than any of the episodes in most of last season.

Are we supposed to think that Iris came into her own and became a great leader while Barry was gone? Or are we supposed to think that she bossed everyone around and they were too polite to stop her?

I had problems with Iris all the way through. Her attitude towards bringing Barry back, her distrust of Cisco's capabilities, her treatment of the rest of Team Kid Flash...erm, I mean Team Flash...

None of it felt authentic to me.

Iris lets herself be captured because she believes it will suddenly make Barry better and it worked. That was some dumb s$it. If it had been a lie to snap him out of it that's one thing, but what if it hadn't worked? She had no plan B.

Dumb is the word. Although I didn't mind the scene. It felt like it was lifted straight from a Silver age Superman/Superboy comic, where Lois or Lana would be forever doing dumb things just to prove Clark's secret identity. At least Iris' had a better motivation for putting her life on the line.

So glad Caitin has an honest to God plotline this year. She didn't have a life outside of Star Labs for far too long.

Yes.

Where is Harrison Wells? Any Harrison Wells?

Well..TC's name was on the opening credits, so it won't be long before we see him again.

Finally, have to mention the best single shot in the show.

Their almost perfect nod to the cover of Flash # 181.
