Maybe I'm just too low brow for this season of Flash... but, Devoe just bores me to tears almost. I feel this season watching Flash is a chore more than a pleasure.

Also, and I could be very wrong, it looks like possibly what he wants with the Flash is he wants to put his mind in the Flash's body because its the only body that can house his brain due to that medical babble that was explained in the previous episode. About his neurons are retreating or something... meh... Devoe might just be a would be bodysnatcher.

That is my prediction as well. Let's see if we end up being right. As of now, it's the only reason I can think of that DeVoe is so interested in the Flash. But if this is true, then that begs the question...Why not just grab Fake Wally instead?

The only answer I can come up with is that Barry is faster. Plus, a running theme in this series is that Barry always needs to get faster. So, maybe that's why DeVoe is so interested in the Flash. To get him faster.

The showrunners teased a new power for Barry this season. Maybe it's the ability to think really fast (theoretically, he should already be able to do that) and DeVoe merely wants Barry to be placed in such a dire situation that Barry will need to think super fast in order to get out of it. Once that happens, his mind and body are ripe for the taking and DeVoe can take over Barry's body.

It's interesting that a hero/villain performs one amazing feat, or use a power they haven't used for 20+ years, and that automatically propels them to a high status despite scans and evidence to the contrary. I don't know what is worse, selective feat picking that has only been done once or twice 20, or more, years ago or ignoring evidence from scans or the lack thereof. We need to stop putting our favorite heroes/villains on pedestals and start putting them where they really belong. But it's evident that people never will because they would rather accuse others of cherry picking feats, when they don't, and being 'morally superior' when they aren't. I guess being honest and as fair as possible only opens one up to being the target of childish accusations and fault finding by those who insist on acting petty and childish. What happened to a good debate between two civil, mature, adults?
