I'm sure that I won't like it as much today (Probably because I read a ton of Jenkin's work, and a lot of it reads the same.), but I was reading the Paul Jenkins Hulk run when it came out (I read pretty much EVERYTHING back then!), and I liked it quite a bit (At least the first year or so.). The art by Ron Garney sure didn't hurt either, and I thought that General Ryker was actually a decent villain (Who has been used at least once since, hasn't he?).
But I remember reading that PAD had some problems with it, especially all of the Professor stuff that Paul did. What exactly did people have problems with? Did Jenkins retcon anything? I also thought that the Devil Hulk was pretty cool as well. And The Abomination fight in Hulk #25 was one of my all-time favorites, and just might be THE best ABomb story.

Unfortunately I did not care for issue # 25 that much and felt it could have been far better. I would have to say my favorite Hulk vs Abomination fight was issue 270 even though their earlier fights were great too. The classic dialogue between the two characters we saw in 270 and earlier issues seemed to be lacking in # 25. And remember 270 was Sal's Hulk. And "Sal's Hulk is Hulk" and that Hulk we saw in issue # 25 sadly was not nearly as good in my opinion with how he was drawn or how he talked. But just the fact that Abomination was drawn naked without his blue shorts pretty much ruined that issue for me. Now if Ron Garney would have drawn that issue and had the blue shorts on him then I might have liked that issue much more then I did. Plus I feel Jenkins could have done a better job writing The Savage Hulk's character and dialogue.
