What a waste of a beautiful cover because it's unrelated.

It needed Riri standing in between Bardas and a little girl holding a puppy or something.

Interesting phrasing. Lot of truth to it. At this point, Friday explaining/forewarning of A.I. technology to MJ seemed more an unsolicited/busybody science lesson than a far off possible future plot unconnected to Riri. At least she was more competant with the fighting spotlight than she was against Tomoe.

I didn't see any improvement over previous issues

The art wasn't bad per se but NOT NEAR as good as last issue.

Riri continues oscillating between complete stupidity and absurd genius without the least fluidity.

Well, she is a kid, so will forgive her that. But it would be nice to see some humility after her messing up rather than backtalking Stark.

And the end is perfectly predictable, since Bendis once again, forgot all the scenes he himself wrote about Latveria since the previous volume and did the same thing that Mark Waid did, but in an infinitely more skilful way, years ago when he was writing Fantastic Four. I wonder if it was Tom Brevoort who suggested this, so that at least something would happen in the end and at the same time, maintain the concept of Riri as the absolute center of everything that is right in the world.

The whole status/politics of current Latveria really lack any (long overdue) focus/consistency since Incursion. Even the timeframe chrono-connection to Riri/Doom in Infamaous is still offputtingly unanswered. A little more backstory on Bardas would have made her hi-tech hatred more convincing too - not to mention continued acces to Doombots which Victor would at least comment on, if not allow, by now.
