It is unlikely that it will happen but think about it : the MCU has the tendency to combine different elements of the comics into one single concept.

For example, the Cosmic Cube & the Space Infinity Gem or the Eye of Agamotto & the Time Infinity Gem.

Could it be possible that the Ten Rings & the Hand are two aspects of the same secret society ?

If that's true ... does it mean that Sigourney Weaver would be revealed as the true MCU "Mandarin" ? \:\-D

What if her character is a tai-pan ?

It is unlikely (the Netflix sub-verse is autonomous) but it would be a clever way to resolve the mystery of the Ten Rings leader.

Also, if there is a woman who can defeat Iron Man, that's Sigourney Weaver !

NB : I realize that her Alexandra Reid character doesn't currently behave like the Mandarin of the comic books ...

Or...

If they are husband and wife.

Yin and Yang. She is cool, calm and patient, prepared to negotiate. Sun Tzu said you should always offer your enemy the chance to surrender with honor. Never needlessly cruel. Mother knows best.

He is hot, furious and impatiant, always preferring to battle. More like Alexander than Sun Tzu. Merciless. A cruel and abusive father, who shows his love like the father of the eponymous 'boy named Sue' did: get tough or die.

But they love each other. It's kind of sick. They have the same ultimate goal: world domination, and each is the only equal of the other, in their eyes. Their opposite personalities complement each other.

After all, a person usually has two hands, and you need two hands to wear ten rings.
